My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed the Escape Room at Inveraray Jail. Very engaging, great puzzles and we managed to get it done at 58:15; just made it! We're excited to return when the additional escape room is set up there.
Only thing I’d suggest (that other escape rooms have done) is to have a photo opportunity for those who beat the Escape Room (photo wall maybe with chalkboard of time finished) and for those who didn’t make it (behind jail bars for group photo).

We did the escape room (~£25pp) and then the jail tour (~£15pp).
Truthfully, one of the best escape rooms we've done - the puzzles are well crafted and satisfying. The props and atmosphere of the location was really great - you're in a actual Victorian debtors jail, after all! Great story, and the voices and prompts all add to the experience. The staff were all excellent but shout out to Shane the game master who you can tell enjoys what he does and cares about the guests experience and overall made the escape room that extra special. Absolutely worth a visit!
The courtrooms and jail are informative, well presented and the audio tour really adds to the history of the place. Thanks for making it a great day.

Was here a few months back but forgot to leave a review. Only went for the escape room but me and my girlfriend had a blast! It was really well thought out and engaging with multiple ways to escape. The history of the jail is tied into the story/narrative of the escape room. Much better than most escape rooms and I’ve been to a bunch in Glasgow and London! Definitely one of my favourites. The actor who plays the Jailer as well clearly puts in a lot of effort to the escape rooms itself and maintaining his character as you go through the room. Don’t miss this!

Just loved it.. Well worth the admission price and free audio the courtroom was just fab.. Good visual posts explaining the different cells and punishments unfortunately not good for wheelchairs but maybe i missed a lift. Over 3 floors and some interesting reading on each.. They were so cruel in the 1700s

Recently visited the escape room at Inveraray Jail, it’s a great set up and challenge! Fully interactive, the session flew by. Warden David enhanced the experience by being ‘in character’. Definitely worth the drive to Inveraray to do this family activity.

What a place. So happy we visited this place, it really was something else and something that will stay with me for a long time, such a fantastic piece of history in a stunning location and well worth the money for a ticket, apart from one of the staff pretending to be a statue and then coming to life and making me experience a near heart attack lol it was definitely the highlight of our weekend away, staff were fantastic and you leave wondering why anyone back in the day would commit any kind of crime, this was not the place to be, some really sad stories about ex prisoners, especially for the babies and children who spent time there. I have told everyone i know they have to visit this place.

really enjoyed the escape room, well thought out, nice little additions and very fun gathering all the shillings! took us 54 mins as a couple to escape so pretty challenging! reccomended! also a very friendly host

A great place to visit if you have a couple of hours. The exhibits and displays are well laid out and the information panels are not too arduous to read, but contain a good balance of enough information without providing you with war and peace. It takes you through the history of the jail itself, about the guards and many stories of the inmates. It’s the second time I have visited - 20 years apart and I loved it both times. Thoroughly recommended.

We just toured the jail. So well set up, informative and interesting. We had great conversations with the guides who were dressed up as warder and matron.
